About him
I’m easygoing and don’t take myself too seriously. I’m musical, and play piano and drums (not at the same time!). I’m active and keep fit by walking with my Irish Doodle, and after several years’ hiatus I’m getting back into mountain biking. I used to play squash at a competitive level. Badminton and tennis are very familiar to me, but for fun rather than competition!
I enjoy cooking and have a wide ranging taste in cuisines from different cultures. I like eating out too, whether it’s a pub lunch or fancy restaurant for a bit of fine dining. I’m equally content relaxing by the fire with a good autobiographical book, or a box set or movie.
Family is important to me, and I have two grown up boys that returned to live with me after university during Covid, and haven’t found the front door since! We are not in each other’s pockets though…
I am new to dating after 35+ years, and just finding my way in the digital age, although having spent my career in IT the technology doesn’t intimidate me, only its effect upon personal relationships. So here goes...(gulp!).

I’m looking for someone who likes to interact face to face, no doom-scrollers! Someone who shares my values, which are quite traditional in terms of dating and romance, monogamous, so no fwb’s! Active, engaging, and interesting. Good conversation is a must. Definitely a non-smoker, this is a deal breaker for me. If we share the same interests then that’s a bonus, but I also value my own company and space, but I will happily give up my time for the right person.
