Dating in your 50's feels a tad daunting, but I genuinely believe that when you meet the 'right' person, you know and when it’s not right, you know that too. We’ve lived enough life to trust our instincts.
I’m old skool when it comes to dating, think mid-90s, before mobiles and apps, when you spoke on the phone and showed up, even if it meant waiting outside Benetton on Oxford Street in the freezing cold! I still believe talking and meeting fairly soon is the best way to see if there’s something there.
I prefer getting to know someone over a few dates, not making snap decisions in a day and moving on just as quickly. I think people are more than a first impression, and I like to be fair. I’m looking for someone who’s the same.
With that said..a bit about me. I love nature, be it walking in the forest, a park or swimming in the sea. These days I've been baking a fair bit and I normally do it because it makes people happy to get something home made!..I can cook a decent chicken curry too - being Indian and all! I used to work in TV and lecture at uni and these days I'm taking a break to see what unfolds in life and what my next steps will be. I'm pretty flexible in body and mind and am openminded to discussions and experiences. I like to think I'm kind and loving, I guess you'll have to find that out for yourself. Some things would be good to not have to state... I’ll say them anyway: honesty, respect, kindness, a sense of humour, and integrity. That’s the baseline.
