Interests: reading (on an iPad: happily/sadly/verily, it’s not the 18th Century), film (silent, 1930s-50s, noir, world), architecture (especially ruins) and design, association footballing (watching only, obviously), languages (and brackets). I have a doctorate in a subject of no practical use whatsoever. Music: Renaissance, baroque, symphonic, opera, jazz, midwest emo.
I love rain. And the seaside (the cold, unglamorous British version). I do not like social media, liberal/left-wing ideologies, selfies (as you can see) or hot weather. No siree, Bob. Favourite locations: HEL, ORD, TRN, VCE, VRN. At some point I hope to make it to Ethiopia, Georgia, Japan.
I am not good at conversations at the level of ‘are you having a good day?’, ‘what are your plans for the weekend?’ etc. And I’m not a big fan of dogs. So that’s excluded about 95% of my possible matches…..

In search of a kind, intelligent (‘bookish’, anyone?) gorgeous (but modest) human person for general foolishness/hilarity, continental peregrinations, ‘togetherness’, and eternal romantic offshoots thereof.
I am ‘I’ (introverted, INTJ; veering dangerously towards INFJ) on Meyer-Briggs, so someone a little (or a lot) less ‘I’ might be good. Though the interwebs indicate that M-B is pseudoscience.
