I enjoy good conversation, curiosity and a sense of humour that comes naturally - bonus points if we can make each other laugh without even trying.
I like easy walking (not mountain hiking), historic places, the sea, dancing (Ceroc/modern jive), theatre, cinema, modern board games and good food.
I work full time and also run a small creative business, so life is full, fun but there’s definitely room for the right man. My twin sons are grown and living independently, which makes this a settled, unencumbered chapter. I’ve lived on a boat in the past, and I enjoy travel - sometimes in slightly unconventional ways (including quite a bit of time spent on the back of a motorbike, which suits me just fine).
I’m happiest exploring somewhere interesting, talking about ideas that don’t always have easy answers (or even any answers at all), or sharing a quiet evening with good company. I enjoy a clever film or thoughtful sci-fi rather than endless TV.
I enjoy a drink now and again, but I’m not a pub-every-night person. I’m drawn to people who aren’t 100% conventional and don’t do everything by the book - ease, mutual respect and presence matter more to me than ticking boxes.
