About him
I'm tall, happy, optimistic, full of life curiosity, recently retired and fully house trained.
All photos are from '25 & I was 66 in June. I've a strong independent streak (enjoying the space in the world I've created for myself) but, it's missing a significant, attractively similar, yet different, heart enhancing, complimentary piece to explore life with 😉😘
I love new things, my two gorgeous daughters, good company, food, drink, music, theatre, science, sport (Athletics, F1, Rugby Union), BBC 6Music .....
I love life, physical and emotional intimacy, humour, people, a chance encounter, a great conversation, a romance, love, who knows.
What does being loved (& loving) mean, well, it's being valued, respected, prioritised, desired, heard, understood and supported.
We all have evolved interests, habits, and routines - and probably 80-85% need to be shared to really work. But, still, key is the ability to try new things (at least once!), be flexible enough to accept and accommodate someone new, listen and talk if, and when, things are not going well.
Intrigued, well I'd love to hear from you. I'm in no great rush, that said, I'd rather meet someone with the confidence to move things on (incl. a public or shared photo) - especially as email is a lousy form of communication, missing the vital eyes and body language. Thereafter, talk over a drink, see if we have that elusive 'Chemistry' then, meet again, and again, growing together from there! Life is much more about the journey than the destination.
I prefer live music but not most festivals and I'm a bit of a coffee snob. 😂
I moved to Cumbria in May '25, so I'm still finding my feet but loving the choice. Joined the RNLI & excitedly exploring the open roads, mountains, lakes & coastline, whilst enjoying my passions of cycling, walking, the odd swim and, at times, just watching the world go by.
A caravanner, animal lover, dancer and ..... lots more if given half a chance 😜😂

I'm drawn to the confident, engaged, happy, relaxed, sorted and, someone who has embraced how life shapes and ages us. I love an active woman with hourglass curves to hug, a willing hand to hold, a warm natural smile, someone who loves life and getting the most out of it - outside most days.
Wit, warmth & physical confidence would be ideal - certainly confident enough to share pictures to compliment their words - not showing who they (still) aspire to be.
Compromise around the edges of our core values is also key so, if we pass the mutual chemistry 'test', it's then all down to the person within us
We're presented like commodities but such dating affords an opportunity to show the real 'us' in varied pictures and words, which I hope you've shared.

Beyond that I don't have a tick list (🤣 he says 😂): the people I've met, and had/have a great relationship and friendship with are hugely diverse, and I still remain friends with many.

Unlike working life I'm not now controlled by a diary. I have aspirations but will do them at a pace that feels right in the hope of just having fun, enjoying beautiful things, learning and, hopefully, doing that with company.
